Care and use

  • Trim the wick to a quarter inch before each lighting and let the wax melt to the edge on the first burn.
  • Burn on a flat surface out of drafts and stay in the room while a candle is lit.
  • Wipe the stone with a damp cloth and dry it; keep the striking band of the match cup dry.
  • When half an inch of wax remains in the vessel, let it cool, lift out the old wax and drop in the refill.
